Leopard's coming. Getting ready is easy.
While MacCentral wants to make it rather hard, it's actually rather easy to get ready to install Leopard. There are three steps:
1.) Create a COMPLETE backup of your system volume.
2.) Upgrade to Leopard using the Leopard DVD and update 3rd party software where needed.
3.) If that doesn't seem to yield a very good result, create a clean installation of Leopard, erasing the system volume, and only bring back from the backup what you really need.
In fact: Forget about the second step: Backup, clean install and bring back what you need. Call it "Spring Cleaning" if you like, although it's Autumn here in the northern hemisphere. - posted by Patrick Armbruster @ 00:57 [article link]
