OmniWeb 5.5 released!

OmniGroup has released OmniWeb 5.5 for download. The most important novelty from earlier 5.x versions is that OW 5.5 is using WebKit directly, i.e. it uses Safari's up-to-date version instead of being built against an older version. More details here in the release notes.

Actually, OW 5.5 uses a significantly newer version of WebKit than Safari 2.0.4, revision 13295.

Erh... That would be against the idea of 5.5, wouldn't it? I thought the goal _was_ to use what's installed on the client's system... :/ But I guess I've kinda left reading all those messages on the OW lists...
