New PowerBooks expected?
AppleInsider expects (maybe) new PowerBooks at AppleExpo Paris in September. While we can't confirm the release date, Apple's been testing the MPC7448 based PowerBooks for a while - but the chips from FreeScale simply weren't available in volume so far. Our source expects the PowerBooks to run at up to 1.8 GHz, which would be a nice boost for the line. Lower-end models would use a 1.6 GHz part.
