Pictures of the intel/Mac devkit's inside
You'll find them here on powerpage. It looks like they're using a relatively small mainboard with one P4 processor - as expected. If you think about what Apple wants to do with this (i.e. developers should test their apps on it), super performance certainly wasn't their main goal. Rather, this was about price/performance.
