Apple seeds Mac OS X 10.4.2 8C29
Apple last night has seeded another build of the forthcoming second update to Mac OS X 10.4. iChat now supports multiple system logins, the notes say about this particular build. Also, iChat's startup time has been improved.
As we've said before in the article about 8C27, Apple is going to release 10.4.2 in the coming two weeks.
Comments:
After upgrading to 10.4.2 8C29, most 3rd party applications are failing to launch with a shared library error.

Any suggestions?

Didn't happen for me... I guess the updater failed to update some or other library for you. You can either 'downgrade' to 10.4.0 and then update again or clean install. That's basically all I've ever done if an update failed like this.
