Apple seeds Mac OS X 10.4.2 8C26
The combo updater is now 55.1 MB in size. The build has no known issues and fixes quite a few things from 8C21. The update is expected to hit Software Update in the coming weeks until mid June. You can read more about the 10.4.2 update in our report on 8C21 (on the old pages).
Comments:
This is just seeded to developers so far, correct?

By the way, does anyone know if this release includes a fix for the iMac G5 AirPort bug that showed up in 10.4.1?

Can you point me to an article about "the iMac G5 AirPort bug" or explain what it exactly is? I've heard of some _general_ AirPort problems with Tiger, but not an iMac G5 specific one so far...

Oh, and yes: "seed" is usually pointing towards a developer seeding. Also the expected softare update timing should have made that clear.

The development train shows no sign of abating.

I'm sorry. There is a bug that many have been pointing out that is specific to the iMac G5 and Tiger. There seem to be multiple manifestations, but symptoms include: frequently dropped signals progressing to complete inability to get a signal, Slow or no internet connectivity.

I call this an iMac G5 bug because most people who have been unable to solve their problem have been using iMac G5s. Personally, my iMac G4 worked perfectly with 10.4.1, but when I got my G5, I started having the problems above.
